Sailing and Such

The goal was a simple electrical set up with limited  items drawing power from it. The VHF, Stereo, DVD player, and some interior lighting, all use rechargeable batteries. The factory overhead light, a fan, the running lights, and, as needed, charging of other items like the handheld VHF or Cell phone via 12 volt chargers, was all that the power supply would be used for. For ease of transport and charging, I decided to try using one of the "portable 12 v power supplies / jumper cable" unit. I went with a "Husky" from Home Depot. It was 49.95, and if it last a couple of years or more, I will consider this experiment a success.

1) Is the power cord that feeds the 12V power strip.

2) Is the wiring harness. I ripped out all the miss moss wiring from the factory and replaced it. I also cleaned it all up and put all wiring in a loom.

3) Is a positive Bus Bar. It is fed by # 1

5) Explains it's self. What isn't explained is why I skipped number 4 ???

Above shows 12v Power strip and, 12v Power Panel.
