While we have sailed all over, especially in our Cruising Boat, the Faithful and hope to do similar traveling across the Pacific Northwest While we are here, but as trailer sailors...I grew Up in the area, and have spent time on many of the wonderful waters of the Pacific Northwest. Amongst many others we have enjoyed Montana's spectacular Flathead Lake, the most beautiful Coeur d' Alene Lake in Idaho,where I grew up, and the Northwest Pacific Coast...But, out new Potter will spend most days in her slip here at our current home in Richland Washington...
Here is the general area we will cruise, though we could go as far inland as Lewiston Idaho, or, all the way out to the Pacific Ocean at Astoria Oregon...
This is the Mid Columbia River where I have my boat in the
I am Just a bit to the West of Kennewick on the south side of the River from a triangle shaped Island. My marine is in the lee of that island.
You can sail from there down river and around the bend to just above McNarey Dam, and all the way to the pacific if you go through the dam and 3 more. Plenty of room to poke around with smaller sailboats and the wind usually blows up river and around the bend.
